What happens if I refuse to give Location Real Estate my personal data?
Where we need to collect Personal Data by law or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you choose not to provide that information, we may not be able to perform the contract or provide the relevant service. For example, certain information may be required for us to market a property, arrange a tenancy, progress a transaction or provide another service you have requested. If this applies, we will explain the consequences to you where appropriate. Where we process Personal Data on behalf of another Data Controller, requests relating to that processing may need to be referred to the relevant Data Controller.
What are Location Real Estate's 'legitimate interests'?
Legitimate interests are one of the lawful bases upon which Personal Data may be processed. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the purpose and benefits of the processing and balance these against the potential impact on your rights, interests and freedoms. Examples may include operating and improving our business and services, responding to enquiries, maintaining relationships with clients and prospective clients, protecting our business and website, and carrying out appropriate marketing activities where permitted by law. You have the right to object to certain processing based on legitimate interests. If you would like further information about the legitimate interests we rely upon, please contact info@locationrealestate.co.uk.
How Long will Your Personal Data be Kept?
Location Real Estate retains different categories of Personal Data for different periods depending on why the information was collected, our legal and regulatory obligations and our legitimate business requirements.
Wherever possible, we will minimise the amount of Personal Data we retain and will not retain it for longer than reasonably necessary.
Where consent is the lawful basis for processing your Personal Data, we may retain the relevant information for as long as the purpose for which it was collected remains applicable and your consent remains valid. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Where we process Personal Data on the basis of legitimate interests, we will retain it for as long as the relevant purpose remains active and it remains necessary and proportionate for us to retain it.
We periodically review the Personal Data we hold and will delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required, subject to any legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting requirements that require us to retain it for a longer period.
Who Else Will Receive Your Personal Data?
We may share your Personal Data with third parties where this is necessary to provide our services, operate our business, fulfil our contractual obligations or comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
